Seanlijah Love

This Sunday’s Matching Pair features hands. Sean and Elijah both have beautiful, expressive hands, omg! The top photo is Elijah at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida in January. The bottom photo is Sean at Oz ComicCon two weeks ago in Adelaide, Australia. 

This latest Matching Pair is called ‘Guys with Guitars’. Neither of them can play, but they sure look good holding one!! :D

Today’s Matching Pair is a special one in honor of March 25th, the date on which Frodo and Sam reached the Sammath Naur and the ring was destroyed. So here are Elijah and Sean as the two characters they brought so brilliantly to life, Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee. Praise them with great praise, and Happy Gondorian New Year!

And as the Hobbits approached swords were unsheathed, and spears were shaken, and horns and trumpets sang, and men cried with many voices and in many tongues:

Long live the Halflings! Praise them with great praise!
Cuio i Pheriain anann! Aglar’ni Pheriannath!
Praise them sith great praise, Frodo and Samwise!
Daur a Berhael, Conin en Annun! Eglerio!
Praise them!

Praise them! The ring-bearers, praise them with great praise!

And so the red blood blushing in their faces and their eyes shining with wonder, Frodo and Sam went forward and saw that amidst the clamorous host were set three high-seats built of green turves. Behind the seat upon the right floated, white on green, a great horse running free; upon the left was a banner, silver upon blue, a ship swan-prowed faring on the sea; but behind the highest throne in the midst of all a great standard was spread in the breeze, and there a white tree flowered upon a sable field beneath a shining crown and seven glittering stars. On the throne sat a mail-clad man, a great sword was laid across his knees, but he wore no helm. As they drew near he rose. And then they knew him, changed as he was, so high and glad of face, kingly, lord of Men, dark-haired with eyes of grey.

Frodo ran to meet him, and Sam followed close behind. ‘Well, if that isn’t the crown of all!’ he said. ‘Strider, or I’m still asleep!’

‘Yes, Sam, Strider,’ said Aragorn. ‘It is a long way, is it not, from Bree, where you did not like the look of me? A long way for us all but yours has been the darkest road.’

 And then to Sam’s surprise and utter confusion he bowed his knee before them; and taking them by the hand, Frodo upon his right and Sam upon his left, he led them to the throne, and setting them upon it, he turned to the men and captains who stood by and spoke, so that his voice rang over all the host, crying:

     ’Praise them with great praise!’

And when the glad shout had swelled up and died away again, to Sam’s final and complete satisfaction and pure joy, a minstrel of Gondor stood forth, and knelt, and begged leave to sing. And behold! he said:

‘Lo! lords and knights and men of valour unashamed, kings and princes, and fair people of Gondor, and Riders of Rohan, and ye sons of Elrond, and Dunedain of the North, and Elf and Dwarf, and greathearts of the Shire, and all free folk of the West, now listen to my lay. For I will sing to you of Frodo of the Nine Fingers and the Ring of Doom.’

 And when Sam heard that he laughed aloud for sheer delight, and he stood up and cried: ‘O great glory and splendour! And all my wishes have come true!’ And then he wept.

Today’s Matching Pair really doesn’t need any explanation, I don’t think. Let us just admire Sean and Elijah’s bare arms, shall we? 

This week’s Matching Pair is called ‘Eyelash Porn’. :D Elijah’s eyelashes are justly famous and drool-worthy, but Sean’s aren’t so bad either!! Sadly his pic is watermarked, but I think you can see his awesome eyelashes anyway!

It’s ripped tee shirt Matching Pair time! Elijah as Jones Dillon in ‘Try Seventeen’ (or ‘All I Want’) and Sean as Billy Tepper in ‘Toy Soldiers’.

The photos of Elijah at Ringling College included a beautiful one of just his hands, and that got me to thinking that I haven’t yet done a Matching Pair of Sean and Elijah’s hands. That lack has now been rectified! They both have gorgeous expressive hands. (In fact, I think I may have to do a hand spam at some point!!)

So on the left we have Elijah a few days ago at Ringling College and on the right is Sean signing a photo at ICON a few years ago.

And this week’s Matching Pair has Sean and Elijah wearing hats, and imo (of course I am highly prejudiced, as if you didn’t know) they both look fabulous. A possible edge goes to Elijah for his incredibly sultry, come-hither look!

It’s Sunday and time for another matching pair. Going for the bare feet this time! They both have beautiful feet- would you expect less from hobbits???

Today’s Matching Pair is called ‘The Face Behind the Voice’ (does that even make sense, lol??) Anyway, here we have Elijah posing with his character Mumble from ‘Happy Feet’, and Sean posing with his character ‘Oso’ from ‘Special Agent Oso’. I don’t know about you, but I can’t decide which is cuter!! Okay, it’s a tie!
